Why does it show night trains as unavailable when I go to book my reservations for my Eurail Global Pass?
When I go to make a reservation for my Global Pass, why does it show all the sleeper trains as unavailible to be booked with that pass when it says specifically to make reservations on all international overnight trains?

It is difficult to answer your question without knowing the specifc route you were looking to book..it may be that you are requesting a route that has train travel through a country not covered by the pass or that the requested train is sold out.

It may also be a train that is not able to be booked on our website. Some night trains are only able to be reserved through our call center by calling us at 1-800-622-8600. If you let us know the specific route and also a date, we can tell you how it can be booked. -

I have the same problem, I want to travel from Geneva to Barcelona May 6, 2012.

The night train from Geneva to Barcelona actually only operates on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday. Therefore, it would not depart on May 6th. However, even for dates this train operates, there is currently an error on our website preventing it from being able to be viewed or booked there. Therefore, if you wish to purchase reservations for this train, you would call us at 1-800-622-8600. We apologize for any inconvenience. -
