Paris to Bonn - Transfer Time

I am looking to purchase a rail ticket from Paris to Bonn; however, the transfer time is only 17 minutes. If I miss my train in Koeln Hbf, which then takes me to Bonn, can I then jump on a later train?

    Hello,

A common minimum connection time is 7 to 10 minutes for changing trains at the typical station in Europe. A 17 minute connection time will be sufficient for you to change trains at the station in Cologne. To arrange for a connection time of your choosing, you can just do a separate search for each segment of the connection.

In any case, the tickets we issue for the portion of your connection from Cologne to Bonn are 'open tickets', which would be valid for you to take any later train along the same route. Open tickets are valid to take any single train operating between the cities listed on the ticket for a 1 month time period beginning on the date you performed your search for when you placed your order. They do not reflect actual departure and arrival times (even though you would still be selecting a specific train on our website).
