    Hi Stacy,

As of nearly a year ago, Thello (the operator for the night train between Paris and Rome) no longer accepts any rail pass to cover its ticket costs. Therefore, if you wish to take this train, you would purchase a regular point-to-point ticket by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com.

Otherwise, if you were to use your Eurail Global Pass for this trip, you would take the daytme connection, which involves at least one train change along the way in Milan or Turin. The trains comprising of this connection do require reservations in addition to the rail pass. You would purchase the reservations by clicking on 'Book your Rail Pass Reservations' on the homepage of our website, instead of 'Find Fares & Schedules'. To purchase the reservations for this trip, I would recommend that you piece together the connection by doing a separate search for each segment (i.e. one search for trains from Paris to Milan or Turin and then another search for connecting trains from Milan or Turin to Rome).

The passholder rates on trains from Paris to Milan or Turin sell out very quickly, so I would recommend trying to purchase these reservations as soon as possible. These trains are able to be booked within 90 days of an intended date of departure. If the passholder rates are sold out, you would end up purchase the regular tickets or perhaps take a different route.
