What type of rail pass is best for our travels?

I bought France rail passes for my family of 6, and think I wound up choosing something that has my niece and I traveling together all the time while everyone else is on an individual pass. We will be together 3 of the 4 days on the pass. Purchasing reservations on TGV trains. Do I need to change the pass, and if so can I?

    Hi Martha,

I'm not sure I understand your question. It is fine if you will all be traveling with separate passes, if that is what you are asking.

You can still book reservations for all 6 of you together, as long as it is a France Rail Pass that you will all be traveling with. You would just request seats for 6 passengers in one search under 'Book a Reservation for Your Pass' on the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com.

Passengers in a party are automatically seated together, if booked together in the same order and the availability allows for it.

Trains in France can be booked within 90 days of an intended date of departure.
