    Hi Deb,

For the BritRail England Pass itself, you would click here on the Canadian website: https://www.raileurope.ca/pass/britrail-england-pass-5893.

With regard to trains in the UK, passholder reservations are only able to be purchased locally and are only recommended on trains that take over 2 hours. If you ever care to have reservations, you can purchase the reservations by going to the ticket window in the station and mentioning that you have the BritRail England Pass.

    Brighton to Salisbury

From Brighton to Salisbury, there is one direct train that takes just over 2 hours.. Otherwise, rail connections from Brighton to Salisbury take just over 2.5 hours in duration and involve changing trains once along the way in either Fratton, Southampton, or Clapham Junction.

Reservations are not necessary on these trains, so the BritRail England Pass is all you would need to board. You might only consider a reservation if you take the direct train, in which case you can purchase them at the station.

For planning purposes, you can use the route search feature under 'Book Train Tickets' on the homepage of our Canadian website (www.raileurope.ca) just to view schedules for these trains. To access schedules for trains in the UK, you would have to be sure to leave the 'I have a rail pass' unchecked.

    Salisbury to Falmouth

Rail connections from Salisbury to Falmouth (Falmouth Town or Falmouth Docks) take about 5.5 hours in duration and involve 2 train changes along the way; once in Exeter and then once in Truro.

Reservations are not necessary on these trains, so the BritRail England Pass is all you would need to board. If you care to have reservations for your trains from Salisbury to Exeter and Exeter to Truro, you can purchase them at the station.

Once again, you can use the route search feature under 'Book Train Tickets' on the homepage of our Canadian website (www.raileurope.ca) just to check schedules for these trains.

    Falmouth to Chipping Campden (Moreton-in-Marsh)

Chipping Campden itself does not have a rail station. The closest station to Chipping Campden looks to be Moreton-in-Marsh, which is about 8.5 miles away.

Rail connections from Falmouth (Falmouth Town or Falmouth Docks) to Moreton-in-Marsh take 6 to 6.5 hours in duration and involve 2 train changes along the way; once in Truro and then once in Reading.

Of the trains comprising of this connection, you might only want to have reservations for the middle segment from Truro to Reading. If you do want reservations for this train, you would purchase them at the station.

In the meantime, you can use the route search feature under 'Book Train Tickets' on the homepage of our Canadian website (www.raileurope.ca) just to check schedules for these trains.

Chipping Campden (Moreton-in-Marsh) to Bakewell (Matlock or Chesterfield)

Bakewell also does not have a rail station. The closest stations are either Matlock or Chesterfield. Matlock is about 9 miles from Bakewell, while Chesterfield is about 13 miles from Bakewell.

Rail connections from Moreton-in-Marsh to Matlock take 4 to 4.5 hours in duration and involve 2 train changes along the way; once in Oxford and then once in Derby.

Rail connections from Moreton-in-Marsh to Chesterfield only take 3 to 3.5 hours and involve 2 train changes along the way; once in Oxford or Worcester and then once in either Derby or Birmingham.

Reservations are not necessary on any of these trains, so the BritRail England Pass is all you would need to board.

For planning, you can use the route search feature under 'Book Train Tickets' on the homepage of our Canadian website (www.raileurope.ca) to view schedules.

However, schedules for the direct trains from Oxford to Derby are not able to be viewed on our website. For your reference, direct trains from Oxford to Derby depart once an hour throughout the day and the ride takes just under 2 hours.

For the option from Moreton-in-Marsh to Matlock, you can just view schedules for the segment from Moreton-in-Marsh to Oxford and Derby to Matlock separately.

For the option from Moreton-in-Marsh to Chesterfield, when you just do one search for the full connection, the options via Worcester and Birmingham will display.

Bakewell (Matlock or Chesterfield) to London Gatwick Airport

For travel from Matlock or Chesterfield to London Gatwick, you would first have to go into the city of London.

Rail connections from Matlock to London take about 2.5 hours in duration and involve changing trains once in Derby along the way. The trains from Derby to London arrive into the London St Pancras station.

From Chesterfield, there are actually direct trains into London. The trains from London to Chesterfield also arrive into the London St Pancras station.

The BritRail England Pass is all you need to board, but if you want to book reservations for a direct train to Chesterfield to London, you would do so at the station.

You can once again use the route search feature under 'Book Train Tickets' on the homepage of our Canadian website (www.raileurope.ca) to view schedules from either Matlock to London or Chesterfield to London.

After you arrive into the London St Pancras station, you would have to commute to the London Victoria station, where you'll connect to a Gatwick Express train to the airport.

To commute from St. Pancras to Victoria, you'll take the Victoria Line of the Tube. The Tube ride from St. Pancras to Victoria takes about 11 minutes. The BritRail England Pass is not valid on the Tube, so you'll just have to pay locally at the turnstiles to board.

The BritRail England Pass is, however, valid on the Gatwick Express trains to the airport. The Gatwick Express trains take about 30-35 minutes to get from London Victoria to Gatwick, and they depart frequently throughout the day.
