Preboard and Connection Times

We are arrving to Pau by bus at 8h32m and the train departs at 9h51m and arrives in Dax at 10h37m - connection time is 41minutes - departs Dax at 11h18m with arrival in Bayonne 12h01m - connection time 14minutes - departs Bayonne at 11h47m with arrival in Saint-Jean-Pied-De-Port.
Question 1 - How much time should one allow prior to boarding the train in Pau?
Question 2 - Do the connection times allow sufficient time?

    Hi Sharon,

    Regarding your first question, it is generally recommended that travelers be at the station about 15 minutes before departure.

    Regarding your second question, the connection times you indicated are sufficient to change trains.

    You would purchase tickets by searching a route under 'BOOK TRAIN TICKETS' on the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com. For what you plan to do, you would do one search from Pau to Dax, another search for connecting trains from Dax to Bayonne, and another search for connecting trains from Bayonne to St Jean Pied de Port.

    Trains from Pau to Dax and Dax to Bayonne are TGV trains. Trains from Bayonne to St Jean Pied de Port are regional TER trains.
