I’m confused

Public transportation London, Belgium & Amsterdam July 1-8

Help! I can't decide what public transportation option will be best and cost effective.I will be in London from July 1-4, flying to Belgium July 4th-6th and then heading to Amsterdam until July 8th. There will be one adult, a 25 year old and 23 year old. What do you suggest for travel passes? In London I will be staying about 30 minutes out of London by train. Thank you for your advice!

    Hi Kimberley,

The best option to purchase depends on the specifics of the itinerary itself. Rail passes are for travel between different cities. Generally, rail passes do not cover metro/public transit systems within European cities. If you're staying just outside of London and only traveling around the immediate vicinity, then it likely would not be worth it to purchase a rail pass. It just depends. If you're only going to be traveling between London, Brussels, and Amsterdam, then I would just recommend purchasing regular tickets.

You would purchase tickets by searching a route under 'Book Train Tickets' on the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com.

Trains between London and Brussels are high-speed Eurostar trains. Generally, the Eurostar can be booked 6 to 9 months in advance of a departure.

Trains between Brussels and Amsterdam and high-speed Thalys trains. Generally, Thalys trains can be booked within 90 days of an intended departure date.
