purchasing first class passes question how/when to reserve seat

will be making 5 trips Italy in June, 2012. planning on purchase first class railpass (2 people).
have schedules..want to reserve seats...what if we change schedule..what happens to reserve seats?

    Hi Joyce,

    In general, reservations for most reservable trains throughout Europe are non-exchangeable and non-refundable, in which case, you would have to purchase new reservations for a different train, should you need to change your schedule.

    You would book reservations by clicking on 'Book a Reservation for Your Pass' from the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com. You can view a fare's rules and guidelines by clicking on 'Select' listed with the fare when you pull up the results of your search. You would then click 'Read More' where it says 'Ticket Flexibility'.
