Reservation for a trip from France to Swizterland with a Eurail France - Italy Pass

Do I get a discount on a train from Switzerland into France if I only have a France-Italy Rail Pass?

  • Yes. You may be eligible for specially priced reservations for trips from France to Switzerland, when you travel with a rail pass that only covers France. Also known as Passholder 2 fares, they are only available on certain high speed trains such as the Lyria, originating in Paris.

      As of April 2018:

‘Passholder 2’ and ‘Passholder 3’ rates on TGV Lyria trains are no longer valid for travel with Eurail Passes. TGV Lyria now requires that Eurail Passes include all countries being traveled through to be valid.

The ‘Passholder 3’ rate would now only be valid for travel with a Swiss Travel Pass.
