How to purchase reservations with a Eurail Select Pass? Can you use the Multi-City search option?

Even though we have already received Eurail Select passes that have travel for 5 days (over 2 months) for 4 countries, the website will not let me put in more than 4 segments of travel at once. Shall I just book one segment at a time and then go back and book the other segments separately? The website will also not let you navigate at all without putting in all the appropriate countries in at the beginning of trying to book reservations. Is anyone out there able to clarify the reservations system? I've tried to call 4 times today and each time have been on hold for over 30 minutes, finally giving up trying to reach any help by phone...

    Hi Jane,

You are one step ahead, as we do recommend that you book reservations for each train separately. You would just click 'Continue Shopping' after you add each set of reservations into your shopping cart. After you click 'Continue Shopping', you would then click 'Buy a Reservation' under where it says 'Reservations for Pass Holders' (if starting on the homepage, you would just click on 'Book a Reservation for Your Pass', as mentioned above).

We are working to make the "multi-city" option function better in the future, and we apologize for the difficulty you've had trying to use it. Also, connections that involve multiple train changes en route, may involve piecing together the connection by doing separate searches for each segment of the trip.

When you go to book your reservations, you would have to type of the name of the pass you'll be traveling. Since you'll be traveling with a Eurail Select Pass, you would then be prompted to enter each country that will be on your specific pass. By entering this information, our system will know to quote you the lowest possible reservation fees for a particular train.

Please let us know if you have difficulty purchasing reservations for a specific route.

We apologize for the hold times. As we are now in the midst of our busy season, there have been substantial hold times.

In some instances, the multi-city search option may work, but if it doesn't, we would recommend doing each search separately. We apologize for any inconvenience.
