When taking an Italo train, do I need reservations?

When traveling the Italo rail must I have reservations, or can tickets be purchased at rail station prior to departing?

Example - Rome to Florence, and Florence to Naples.

Thank you for your question, Mike.

Italo trains require reservations. Since Italo trains require reservations, the reservation would automatically be included with any ticket purchase for one. You would purchase tickets and check schedules for trains from Rome to Florence and Florence to Naples by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on our homepage and entering the cities.

Please note, however, that Italo trains would not covered by any rail pass. Therefore, if it so happens that you'll be traveling with a rail pass while you're Italy, the pass would not be valid for any Italo trains, and you would have to purchase regular tickets if you wish to take one.
