Santiago to Madrid?

I will be ending my Camino de Santiago in Santiago de Compostella and need to connect to an overseas flight in Madrid!
Last year, I took a direct train trip in the reverse but I can't find any trains going from Santiago.
Am I doing something wrong or is the sad truth, etc, etc?

    Hello,

There are direct trains from Santiago de Compostela to Madrid (high-speed 'Alvia' trains). You would purchase tickets and check schedules by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on our homepage and entering the route. For Santiago de Compostela to be recognized by our site, you would just type 'Santiago de Composte' as your departure city when doing your search.

Generally, trains in Spain can only be booked within 60 to 90 days of an intended date of departure. Currently, the trains from Santiago de Compostela to Madrid can only be booked within 60 days of an intended date of departure. If your intended departure date happens to fall outside of this time frame, you would just enter a more imminent date, some time within the next 60 days, to get an idea of the ticket costs and schedules in the meantime.
