Santiago, Spain to Paris, CDG.

Hello, I hope to be in Santiago, Spain and need to catch my return flight to Canada from Parid, CDG, on Monday May 27, 13:30. Does anybody have any suggestions on which trains I should take? The online system does not seem able to tell me where the trains go from Santiago. Thank you very much.

    Hi Dan,

The most feasible connection from Santiago de Compostela to Paris would take about 24 hours in duration and involves changing trains once in Burgos along the way. First, you would take a train from Santiago de Compostela to Burgos, where you would connect to a direct overnight train that will take you up to Paris. This night train arrives into the Austerlitz station in the city of Paris.

To get to the airport, you would first take M10 of the Paris Metro over to the St Michel Notre Dame stop. There you would be able to pick up Line B of the RER up to the CDG Airport. The RER trains to the airport depart every 7 to 15 minutes and the ride takes about 40 to 45 minutes in duration. Tickets for the Metro and the RER would be purchased locally upon arrival.

To purchase tickets for your train from Santiago de Compostela to Burgos and the night train from Burgos to Paris, you would click on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com. For this route, you would just want to be sure to do separate searches for each segment of the connection (i.e. one search for trains from Santiago de Compostela to Burgos and then a separate to access the night train from Burgos to Paris).

My question is I need to get from Barcelona to Le Castellet France for a race then Le Castellet France to Sarria to begin the camino walk to Santiago De Compostella. Hi Urania.

There are 2 Le Castellets in France; one just northwest of Toulon (the closest rail station would likely be either Bandol or St Cyr Les Lecques), the other just north of the Verdon Gorge in between Manosque and Digne (the closest rail station would likely be La Brillane Oraison).

In any case, it would not be possible to advise regarding an itinerary such as this through this medium. Therefore, to determine the best option for an itinerary such as this, you would have to call us. You can reach us at 1-800-622-8600. Our current hours are 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM CT Monday to Friday and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM CT on Saturdays and Sundays.
    • Thank you so much I will call to request additional help
