Sargans to Innsbruck with Swiss Travel Pass & a Eurail Austria Pass?

I am planning to have 15 days vacation in Switzerland and 5 days in Austria. I would like to buy a 15-day Swiss Pass and a 5-day Austria Pass.

Could these 2 pass include my trip from Sargans to Innsbruck? Or should I buy the single ticket separately?

Thanks!

Thank you for your question, Benjamin.

Yes, the Swiss Travel Pass and the Eurail Austria Pass together would cover the ticket costs for a train from Sargans to Innsbruck. The Swiss Travel Pass would cover the segment in Switzerland until you get to the border, and the Eurail Austria Pass would cover the segment in Austria beyond that.

Trains from Sargans to Innsbruck are Railjet or EuroCity trains, on which reservations would be recommended in addition to the rail passes. You would purchase reservations by clicking on 'Book your Rail Pass Reservations' on our homepage and entering the route. When doing your search, you would also be prompted to enter the type of rail pass you'll be traveling with for the journey; however, our website would only allow you to choose one rail pass here. Therefore, just for the purpose of purchasing your reservations for this trip, you would indicate that you'll be traveling with a Eurail Austria-Switzerland Pass or a Eurail Global Pass.

Trains from Sargans to Innsbruck can be booked once within 90 days of an intended date of departure. If your intended date of departure happens to fall outside of this time frame, you would just enter a more imminent date, some time within the next 90 days, to get an idea of the reservation costs and view schedules when searching the route on our site.
