Scenic train route Vienna to Paris going through the Arlberg Pass? Then to London.

I will be travelling from Vienna on 19th August en route back to London. I understand there is a scenic route we could take (Arlsberg Pass) we intent to stop in Zurich overnight and Paris overnight. Can you advise best route and or hotel accommodation near stations. We really need to be back in London late 21st/22nd August.

    Hi Dee,

It sounds as though you have the route down that you want to take. You can take a train from Vienna to Zurich (Railjet trains) another train from Zurich up to Paris (TGV Lyria trains) and then another train from Paris to London (Eurostar trains). The trains from Vienna to Zurich do go through the Arlberg Pass.

You would purchase tickets and check schedules by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on the homepage of our website,

With that said, trains from Vienna to Zurich can only be booked within 90 days of an intended date of departure. Since your intended travel happens to fall just outside of this time frame, you would enter an earlier date, within the next 90 days, to get an idea of the ticket costs and view schedules when searching this route on our site. You would then probably be able to place your order for this ticket in about a week or so.

Tickets for trains from Zurich to Paris and Paris to London are both already able to be booked for the requested travel dates. Due to high demand on this route, these trains can sell out very quickly, so it would be recommended that these tickets be purchased as soon as possible.

We do happen to provide a link on our website from where you can book hotels in Europe. You would just click on 'Hotels' from our homepage,

The direct link to book hotels is:

You would have to contact the hotels directly for information regarding their proximity to specific rail stations.
