Scenic Train travel from Geneva to Padova, Italy

After my meeting in Geneva, my wife and I would like to take a scenic train to padova, Italy. We would then fly home to the USA from Venice. Like to hear your recommendations. Thanks

    Hi Dave,

You can check ticket costs and schedules for connections from Geneva to Padova and from Padova to Venice under 'Check Fares and Schedules' on the homepage of our website, To search fares and schedules to or from Padova on our site, you may have to type it as 'Padua' for it to be recognized. These trains can be booked within 90 days of an intended date of departure.

We are only able to advise the most direct route between different cities in Europe and that would be via Milan if traveling from Geneva to Padova. In any case, you would pass through the alps en route, and the ride would be scenic. In Switzerland, there are certain trains designated as specialty Swiss scenic trains; however, if you were to take such a train it would take you out of the way, and you would have to do it on a separate day altogether. The Swiss scenic trains are the Glacier Express, the Golden Pass, the Bernina Express, the Chocolate Train, and the William Tell Express. You can access information for these trains by clicking on 'Trains' from the categories at the top of our homepage. On the next screen, you would just refer to where it says 'Scenic Trains'.
