Seeking reservations for travel from Barcelona to Narbonne / Collioure. Traveling with a Eurail Select for Spain & France.

We purchased a Eurail two country (Spain & France) select pass. The first day of travel is March 25. We had planned to travel from Barcelona to Narbonne and into Collioure, but reservations are not available. Upon checking further, there do not appear to be any reservations available for any train departing from Barcelona. Since we understand that reservations are required even when travelling with a pass, what am I doing wrong here? Have I missed a deadline to make a reservation? Is it possible that all reservations are already sold ? Thank you for the help.

    Hi Charles,

A connection from Barcelona to Collioure takes about 2.5 or 3.5 hours in duration and involves changing trains once in either Perpignan or Narbonne along the way.

The trains from Barcelona to Perpignan or Barcelona to Narbonne do require reservations as a supplement to a rail pass. Generally, passholder reservations for these trains are able to be purchased through our website. However, this is currently not possible due to an error. Until its resolved, you would have to call us in order to purchase these reservations and inquire about the reservation costs. We can be reached at 1-800-622-8600. Our current hours are 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM CT Monday to Friday and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM CT on Saturdays.

Trains from Barcelona to Perpignan or Narbonne are 'France-Spain High Speed' trains. Generally, these trains can only be reserved within 90 to 120 days of an intended departure date.

Trains from Perpignan to Collioure and Narbonne to Collioure are regional trains that don't accept reservations. Therefore, your Eurail Select Pass is all you'll need to board. For planning purposes, you can still check schedules for trains from Perpignan to Collioure and Narbonne to Collioure by doing a search right on our homepage, www.raileurope.com.
