Are senior rates offered on trains from Oslo to Bergen?

I want to book two one-way tickets for Oslo-Bergen. I am asked if we are over 60. Yes, we are over 60. I infer there is a senior rate?

We are US citizens with US passports. Would we be eligible for a senior rate on this train?

    Hi Jack,

Most trains in Europe do not offer senior rates for their tickets, including trains between Oslo and Bergen. Therefore, you would not receive any lower rates by indicating that you are seniors when booking tickets for this train. There are only some trains that offer senior rates; however, none that are located in Scandinavia.

We are the United States-based seller of European tickets for North American countries. Therefore, you would be able to purchase the tickets from our site, and they would be shipped to you before you depart for Europe.

You would purchase tickets for trains from Oslo to Bergen by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on our homepage, www.raileurope.com.

  • Do you have to be a citizen of Italy to get the senior rate on the Italian trains?

  • Hi Mary Ella,

Most trains in Italy do not offer senior fares. The do offer discounted fares that can be lower than what a senior fare would be.

You can check our website for fares and schedules at www.raileurope.com for further information.

    Thank you,
    Jen
