    Hi.

What you purchase for rail travel would depend on the specific itinerary itself and many other factors. Once you've settled on your specific itinerary, I would recommend that you call us at 1-800-622-8600 for assistance determining the best option for your travels.

Different from any multiple country pass and other single country passes, the Swiss Travel Pass is unique in that it covers the entire travel network of Switzerland (including buses, boats, and public transportation, as well as your trains). The Swiss Travel Pass also allows for entry to over 480 museums around Switzerland. Therefore, a multiple country 'Eurail' pass that includes Switzerland would not provide for the same bonuses as the Swiss Travel Pass.

You can check costs for the Swiss Travel Pass by clicking here: http://www.raileurope.com/rail-tickets-passes/swiss-pass/index.html.

To view the bonuses offered, you would click the tab for 'Travel Bonuses' once you have accessed the page for this pass on our website.

With regard to the various mountain excursion passes, a Swiss Travel Pass would generally provide for a 50% discount, while a multiple country 'Eurail' pass that includes Switzerland would generally provide for a discount of approximately 25%.
