I’m unsure

Are kids free on the Jungfraujoch Top of Europe when traveling with Swiss Family Cards for the Swiss Pass?

My family of 4 (Mom, Dad and 2 kids ages 13 & 10) will be purchasing 2 adult Swiss Saver Passes with a Swiss Family Card.for 15 days. On one of these days we want to travel to the top of Jungfrau (Jungfraujoch). It seems that the Swiss Pass will cover our travel only as far as Wengen (or Grindelwald), but beyond Wengen (or Grindelwald) we must purchase train tickets and will receive a 25% discount with the Swiss Pass. My question ... will our children need to purchase tickets beyond Wengen (or Grindelwald) to Jungfraujoch or with the Swiss Family Card cover them for free (they will be traveling with Mom/Dad who purchased tickets at 25% discount).

    Hi Mary Beth,

With the Swiss Family Cards you'll be receiving, your children would actually not have to purchase any tickets for the Jungfraujoch Top of Europe mountaintop excursion. The two adults would receive the discount for traveling with the Swiss Pass, while the two children would be able to travel for free.

Since you'll be traveling with a Swiss Pass, you would purchase the 'Grindelwald or Wengen-Jungfraujoch/Swiss Pass' option of the Jungfraujoch Top of Europe for two adults. You would purchase this pass by clicking here:
