Train cancellations due to migrant movements?

Going to Berlin/Prague/Budapest in 2 weeks with tickets for all legs of the trip. Has anyone experienced difficulty traveling via train due to the migrant movements recently? Will our tickets still be honored, or are the trains being commandeered by the government to transport migrants? Would hate to be stuck in Prague & Budapest without a way of getting back to Berlin.

  • Hi Nancy.

Between these cities, you shouldn't encounter any difficulties. In the case that you are not able to use a ticket you purchased from us, you can request a refund by sending it via traceable mail to the following address:

    Rail Europe
    Attn: Customer Relations Dept.
    1350 E. Touhy Avenue
    Suite 200E
    Des Plaines, IL 60018

Please also include a letter explaining the situation. Before you send the ticket back, I would recommend requesting that an attendant at the station stamp it as "not used".
