Train travel in Normandy and Brittany and then to Luxembourg

In France, is there a city that can serve as a base for train travel to a WW II tour, probably from Bayeux, and Mt. St. Michel in Normandy and St. Malo and Dinan in Brittany, France? Maybe Bayeux?
We will be coming from Paris to spend 2 or 3 days in this area and then will go to Luxembourg by train. If it is not practical we will stick to Normandy. Thank you!

    Thank you for your question.

Bayeux, St. Malo, and Dinan all do have rail stations. In Normandy, Bayeux is the closest station to the American beaches and Caen is the closest station to the Allied beaches. To get to Mont St. Michel, you would take a bus from either Rennes or Pontorson. The bus ride from Rennes to Mont St. Michel takes about an hour and a half, while the bus ride from Pontorson to Mont St. Michel only takes about 15 or 20 minutes.

A connection from Normandy (or Brittany) to Luxembourg would involve going to Paris first. You would purchase tickets and check schedules by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on our homepage. The trains from Paris to Luxembourg are high-speed 'TGV Est' trains.

We do also happen to sell tickets for the bus between Rennes and Mont St. Michel under 'Find Fares & Schedules' on our homepage. When doing this search, you would type Mont St. Michel as 'Le Mont St Michel' for it to be recognized by our website.
