Train and station information

I called you 800# to ask about trips from Prague to Vienna and then Vienna to Budapest. No one there could tell me what rail company was being used - what the station names or addresses were.

They said there was a web chat on the website but I don't see it.

Is her a human being that we can speak to that knows these things?

    Hi Linda,

The trains from Prague to VIenna are called 'EuroCity' (EC) trains operated by the Czech and Austrian national rail networks,

The trians from Vienna to Budapest are called 'Railjet' trains operated by the Austrian and Hungarian national rail networks.

You would view schedules and purchase tickets for these trains by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com. The station names will display when you pull up the results of your search.

The trains from Prague to Vienna depart out of the 'Hlavni Nadr' (Hlavní nádraží) station in Prague and arrive into the Meidling station in Vienna. Some of these trains might depart out of the Holesovice station in Prague, as well.

The trains from Vienna to Budapest depart out of the Westbahnhof or Meidling stations in Vienna and arrive into the Keleti or Kelenfoe (Kelenföld) stations in Budapest. Keleti is considered the main station for Budapest.

For a trip from Vienna to Budapest, our website may only show Kelenfoe as the station of arrival; however, you can rest assured that these trains do continue on to the Keleti station after they stop at Kelenfoe. Therefore, you would be able to remain on the train until it arrives to the Keleti station. These trains arrive into the Keleti station about 16 or 17 minutes after they are shown to be arriving at the Kelenfoe station.

We are the United States-based seller of European tickets for North American countries. We only have specific addresses (and additional information) for some of the more major stations in Europe.

For more information about the Prague Hlavni Nadr station and even a link to a Google map of its location, you can refer to the following link: http://www.raileurope.com/europe-trav....

For more information about the Prague Holesovice station and a link to a Google map of its location, you can refer to the following link: http://www.raileurope.com/europe-trav....

For more information about the Vienna Westbahnhof station and a link to a Google map of its location, you can refer to the following link: http://www.raileurope.com/europe-trav....

For more information about the Budapest Keleti station and a link to a Google map of its location, you can refer to the following link:

I'm sorry, however, we don't have this information for the Meidling station in Vienna or the Kelenfoe station in Budapest. You may be able to view the locations of these stations by doing a search for them on Google Maps.

You can speak with someone by calling us at 1-800-622-8600.
