Trains in the Luberon. Avignon to Lourmarin.

I will be arriving Avignon by the TGV and want to ultimately end up in Lourmarin. Is there a train that runs near there?

    Hi Susan,

The closest rail station to Lourmarin looks to be Sénas, which is on a regional rail line that departs from the Avignon Centre station. Sénas still appears to be about 27 km from Lourmarin. You can purchase tickets and check schedules for this route under 'Check Fares and Schedules' or 'Find Fares & Schedules' from the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com. Trains in France can be booked within 90 days of an intended date of departure.

You can commute from the Avignon TGV station to the Avignon Centre station by taking the TCRA 'Navette TGV' shuttle bus. This would take about 10 to 15 minutes.

  • Can someone tell me what the best route is for:
    1) I fly into Geneva and have hotel in Murren? What train/s do I take?
    2) From Murren to Lacoste, France?
    Any ideas? Thank you.
