Travel between Paris, and Krakow

Our tour is ending in Paris and we would like to see Kraków. Is there a train that services that route? Is it a high speed train? Is their a night train? How long in hours is the trip? Is a transfer required?

Thanks for your help..

    Hi Ron,

The most feasible connection from Paris to Krakow takes about 19.5 hours in duration and involves 3 train changes along the way; once in Stuttgart, once in Munich, and then once in Vienna. The segment from Vienna to Krakow is an overnight train.

You would purchase tickets by searching the route under 'Find Train Tickets' on our homepage, www.raileurope.com. For a trip from Paris to Krakow, you would just have to piece together the connection by doing a separate search for each segment. Therefore, you would do one search for trains from Paris to Stuttgart, another search for connecting trains from Stuttgart to Munich, another search for connecting trains from Munich to Vienna, and then another search to access the overnight train from Vienna to Krakow.

Trains from Paris to Stuttgart are TGV Est (France-Germany High Speed) trains. Generally, these trains can be booked once within 120 days of an intended departure date.

Trains from Stuttgart to Munich are high-speed ICE (InterCity Express) trains. Generally, these trains can be booked up to 180 days in advance of a departure date.

Trains from Munich to Vienna are Railjet high-speed trains. Generally, these trains can be booked once within 90 days of an intended departure date.

The night train from Vienna to Krakow can be booked once within 60-90 days of an intended departure.
