    Hi Georgia,

A train from London to Edinburgh would only be covered by the BritRail Pass.

The BritRail England Pass only covers England; while the BritRail Pass covers England, Scotland, and Wales.

For the BritRail Pass, you would click here: https://www.raileurope.com/rail-ticke....

On a train from London to Edinburgh, reservations would be highly recommended as a supplement to a rail pass. However, passholder reservations for trains in the UK are only able to purchased locally when you're there. To purchase reservations for a train from London to Edinburgh, you would just go the ticket counter in the station and mention that you have the BritRail Pass.

In the meantime, you can check schedules for the trains from London to Edinburgh by doing a search on our website. Trains from London to Edinburg are 'Virgin Trains East Coast'.

The BritRail Pass is valid on the Heathrow Express. Heathrow Express trains run between Heathrow and the London Paddington station. They depart once every 15 minutes (taking about 15 minutes from terminals 1, 2 and 3 to Paddington and 23 minutes from terminal 5 to Paddington).

  • If I were to buy a Britrail pass to go from Heathrow to Ediburgh, would that same pass get us back? We land in Heathrow on a Sunday morning and were going to jump on the train up to Edinburgh for 2 days then come back to London. Is the Britrail pass the correct one to buy?

If you'll be staying in London at all and using public transit to get around, you'd want to consider purchasing either the 'London Travel Card' or the 'Visitor Oyster Card', both of which would cover public transit networks in the city, including the Tube, London Overground, and city buses.

To purchase the 'London Travel Card' you would click here: http://www.raileurope.com/pass/london...

To purchase the 'Visitor Oyster Card' you would click here: http://www.raileurope.com/pass/visito...

To browse other city passes for a stay in London, you would click here: http://www.raileurope.com/train-ticke...
