Thank you for your question, Carmen.

From Vienna to Prague, there are direct high-speed trains called 'Railjets'. Generally, the trains from Vienna to Prague can only be booked within 90 days of an intended date of departure.

There are no direct trains between Prague and Krakow during the day, nor are there direct trains between Krakow and Vienna during the day.

A daytime connection from Prague to Krakow would take about 8 to 8.5 hours in duration and involves changing trains once in Katowice along the way. Generally, trains from Prague to Katowice can only be booked within 60 days of an intended date of departure, and trains from Katowice to Krakow can only be booked within 30 days of an intended date of departure.

A daytime connection from Krakow to Vienna would take about 6 to 7 hours in duration and involves changing trains once in Katowice along the way. Trains from Krakow to Katowice can only be booked within 30 days of an intended date of departure, while trains from Katowice to Vienna can only be booked within 30 to 60 days of an intended date of departure.

When the time comes, you would purchase tickets and check schedules by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on our homepage and entering the route.

For a daytime connection from Prague to Krakow, you would just break up your search once in Katowice. Therefore, you would do one search for trains from Prague to Katowice ('EuroCity' trains) and another search for connecting trains from Katowice to Krakow ('TLK' or regional trains).

You would also break up your search in Katowice for a daytime connection from Krakow to Vienna. Therefore, you would do one search for trains from Krakow to Katowice ('TLK' or regional trains) and another search for connecting trains from Katowice to Vienna ('Express InterCity' trains).

If you'd like to get an idea of ticket costs and schedules in the meantime, you can just use earlier dates when doing a search, some time within each respective train's booking window. With that said, there may currently be an error preventing the daytime trains from Prague to Krakow (via Katowice) and the daytime trains from Krakow to Vienna (via Katowice) from being viewed or booked there, even for dates within each train's booking window. Therefore, if nothing displays when you do a search for these routes, please feel free to call us to inquire about the ticket costs and schedules. You can reach us at 1-800-622-8600. Our current hours are 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM CT Monday to Friday and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM CT on Saturdays and Sundays.
