How would I get from London Heathrow to York?

Good Day,

During our next visit to England, we plan to travel via train from Heathrow Airport to York, England, in order to visit our ancestory home.

Can you easily connect with raileurope from the airport to York? Also, can you recommend a B&B close to the York train station.

Thank you for any assistance.

To get from the Heathrow Airport to York you would first take the Heathrow Express into the city of London. The Heathrow Express only takes about 15 minutes in duration and departs once every 15 minutes. This train arrives into the Paddington station, while trains to York depart from the Kings Cross station. To commute from the Paddington station to the Kings Cross station, you would take the Circle Line of the Tube. The ride on the Circle Line from Paddington to Kings Cross would only take about 15 minutes. You would pay to board the Tube locally at the turnstiles upon arrival. Special tickets are issued for the Heathrow Express, which would be purchased by clicking here.

You would purchase tickets and check ticket costs for the trains from London to York by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on our homepage and entering the route.

The trains from London to York are high-speed 'Grand Central Trains'. Trains in the United Kingdom can only be booked within 60 to 90 days of an intended date of departure.

For a Bed & Breakfast in York, you can click on 'Hotels' near the top of our homepage.
