What to do at 6am near the Milano Centrale?

We are taking the over night train from Paris to Florence via Milano Centrale. Is there anything to do near the station if we are there a 6am. I was thinking maybe we could spend a few hours before we go on to Florence.

    Hi Maryellen,

The Duomo of Milan, which is Milan's main attraction, is a short metro ride from the Milan Centrale station. It should only be about 5 minutes on the metro to get from Milan Centrale to the Duomo stop. I don't think it would be open to visitors at that time, but you could still at least see the facade and find something to do in the square. The Piazza del Duomo is Milan's main square, where there will be other buildings and monuments to see, as well as cafes and restaurants aplenty.

You would purchase tickets from Milan to Florence by searching the route under 'Book Train Tickets' on the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com. Trains from Milan to Florence are high-speed Frecciarossa and Italo trains.
