Staying near Paris CGD Airport for 3 days and want to sightsee in Paris. Is there a pass I can purchase?

I will be staying near CDG for three days and will want to sightsee in Paris those days. What do you suggest I purchase? Do I need one type of ticket to get to the city center and then a metro pass for travel within the city!

    Hi Colleen,

To commute from Paris CDG to the city of Paris, you would take Line B of Paris's commuter rail network called the RER. The RER departs out of terminal 2 every 7-15 minutes throughout the day and the ride to the city takes about 35-45 minutes, making stops at stations that include Nord, Châtelet Les Halles, St. Michel, Luxembourg, Port Royal, and Denfert Rochereau.

To be covered on this line of the RER, as well as the RER and Métro in the city of Paris, you would purchase the 'Zones 1-5' option of a pass called the Paris Visite. You would purchase the Paris Visite here: http://www.raileurope.com/pass/paris-visite-pass-8339.

There is also the Paris Museum Pass, which covers entry to over 60 museums and historic sites around Paris. You would purchase the Paris Museum Pass here: http://www.raileurope.com/pass/paris-museum-pass-8335.

Various other city passes and tours for Paris can be found here: http://www.raileurope.com/train-tickets/activities/?countries=France&cities=cities-479.
