How can I tell if the train I'm booking from Udine to Venice is an Italo or a Trenitalia train?

How do I find out which train is indicated by the train number on the itinerary prior to booking? Specifically, I am traveling from Udine to Venice and I want to know if the train numbers listed indicate Italo or Trenitalia.

    Hi Serina,

The trains that connect Udine and Venice are regional trains ('Regionale' or 'Regionale Veloce' trains). Regional trains in Italy are Trenitalia trains, meaning they are operated by the national rail network of Italy. There are no Italo trains that operate along this route.

In general, regional trains in Italy have either a 4 digit train number (that doesn't begin with a '9') or a 5 digit train number.

You would purchase tickets and check schedules for trains from Udine to Venice by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com.
