Trying to book Nice to Barcelona but your site won't let me. Why can I not make a reservation for a trip that crosses country borders?

Why can I not make a reservation for a trip that crosses country borders? For example, if I attempt to travel from Nice, France to Barcelona, Spain, the RailEurope site states: At this time, our online system can't find tickets or schedules for this trip. Yet, there are trips I can book up to the border of each country.

Trains that cross borders can be booked through us and on our website at that. A connection from Nice to Barcelona just happens to involve changing trains at least once in Montpellier along the way.

You would purchase the tickets and check schedules by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on the homepage of our website,

For this trip, you would just piece together the connection by doing a separate search for each segment. Therefore, you would do one search for trains from Nice to Montpellier and then another search for connecting trains from Montpellier to Barcelona (France-Spain High Speed trains).

Otherwise, the connection would involve changing trains once in Marseille and then once in Perpignan or Montpellier. For this option, you would just break up your search once in Perpignan or Montpellier to purchase tickets and check schedules on our site.

Generally, these trains can only be booked within 90 days of an intended date of departure. If your intended date of departure happens to fall outside of this time frame, you would just enter an earlier date, within the next 90 days, to get an idea of cost and view schedules when searching a route on our website.

Please let us know if there are any other specific routes you're referring to.
