    Hi Thenash,

The most feasible connections from Zermatt to Milan take about 3.5 hours and involve changing trains once in Brig along the way.

Your Swiss Travel Pass will cover you on the train from Zermatt to Brig. Trains from Zermatt to Brig don't accept reservations, so the Swiss Travel Pass is all you would need to board. These trains follow part of the famed Glacier Express scenic route.

Any Eurail Select Pass that includes both Switzerland and Italy is valid for you to receive a 'Passholder 1' reservation on a train from Brig to Milan. Your Eurail Select Pass would be validated on board the train itself, or else you can do it at the station before boarding. Trains from Brig to Milan do require reservations in addition to the pass.

Generally, for travel with a rail pass, you would purchase reservations for a train from Brig to Milan by clicking the 'Seat Reservations' tab on our homepage (www.raileurope.com), entering the route, and indicating the type of rail pass with which you'll be traveling (i.e. a 'Eurail Two Country Select Pass'). Currently, however, there may be an error on our site preventing the passholder reservations from being booked there. If listed next to a particular train/departure, you happen to see a rectangular yellow box that says 'Train Tickets Found', that means our website is only able to quote the regular costs for that train/departure instead of the 'Passholder' reservation fees that you're actually attempting to request. For trains from Brig to Milan, we should be able to issue the correct reservations if you call us. We can be reached at 1-800-622-8600. Our current hours are 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM CT Monday to Friday and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM CT on Saturdays and Sundays.
