Is there any discount from Zurich to Paris with a Eurail Select Pass?

If I have a 2-country Euro Rail Pass (Switzerland, France), is there any discount for traveling from Zurich to Paris? If so, which train offers this discount?

    Hi Ram,

With a rail pass that includes both Switzerland and France, you would be able to receive a discounted rate called the 'Passholder 1' on a direct train from Zurich to Paris. The trains from Zurich to Paris are high-speed TGV Lyria trains.

You would reservations at the 'Passholder 1' rate on a train from Zurich to Paris by entering the route on our homepage ( and indicating that you'll be traveling with the 'Eurail Two Country Select Pass' (that includes Switzerland and France) where it prompts you.

You can ensure that it's the 'Passholder 1' rate you're being quoted by clicking on the 'View' button for the cost that displays and referring to the 'Ticket Flexibility' options in the box that expands out below. For the 'Passholder 1' rate, you would just want to be sure that the 'Semi Flexible' option is checked. Underneath 'Semi Flexible', you can would click 'Read More' and the name of the fare would read 'TGV Lyria Passholder 1'.

Generally, these trains can be booked once within 90 days of an intended date of departure.
