  • Hi Rich,

It looks as though you're on the right track. Those kinds of prices do reflect 'passholder' reservation costs. However, I would only really recommend purchasing reservations for that first segment from Zurich to Stuttgart. Trains from Stuttgart to Mannheim are ICE high-speed trains, but this segment is so short that it is not necessary for you at all to purchase reservations.

If you'll be traveling with a rail pass that includes Germany/Eurail Global Pass, then the trains from Mannheim to Kaiserslautern and Kaiserslautern to Ramstein are not something you would book anyway. Trains between these cities do not even accept reservations, so the rail pass would be all you'd need to board. Schedules for these particular segments are not able to be viewed on our website. If you'd like to inquire about their schedules, you can call us.

Please note, we are not able to provide or verify costs or schedules through this forum. If you ever would like to verify costs or schedules shown on our site, you would have to call us.

We can be reached at 1-800-622-8600. Our current hours are 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM CT Monday to Friday and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM CT on Saturdays.
